Horrible Camera app

This camera app is one of the most horrible apps, please do not get it, there are way better versions and apps that are well suited for your safety, these cameras are terrible I hate it so much

Don’t waste your money

BAD all around, the cameras are getting dropped off in this “update” as if they were offering a better product but no, it’s just to make sure that we, the customers that pay for this cameras regret it even more. App doesn’t support my cameras anymore and the service to get Cloud Storage is extremely expensive if you compare product quality value. STAY AWAY the developers aren’t even trying.

Buyers Beware! This is probably the worst company we have ever had to deal with. This company which includes Zmodo, Zsight and Meshare does not support their products or update their apps! If you need a camera or surveillance system go with another company!

You guys deleted my account without my knowledge, & also do not have a chat support or phone number to call. The website also is not accuracte.

Sometimes issues or crashe

Biggest issue I have with this app recently is whenever I hit an alert to see the motion clip it will skip ahead 10 seconds past the event start and whatever was there is already gone. Then you have to zoom in to the timeline to back it up a little so you can see what actually triggered the event. This only started recently probably after a software update AND after I paid for a subscription on two cameras. Probably cancelling at least one subscription when it runs out since not being able to see what set off the camera defeats the purpose of having and paying for it

I should have known what I was getting into when there’s not possible way to even pronounce the products name. I will never buy these again and I would NEVER refer these to anyone. Not only after a few months they won’t connect to my Wi-Fi anymore but you have to pay a monthly fee PER camera to see anything more than 24 hours back and it only catches for a few seconds then stops recording so my car was broken into again and the camera saw a few people walk by but did not recording long enough to see even one of them open my door. 0/10 highly would not recommend Plus the Manuel says CLEARLY -This device must accept any interference received including interference that might cause undesired operation.

Phone issues

It seems like everytime I turn around this app doesn’t want to work. I’m glade I stop paying for the meShare subscription cause there’s absolutely no way y’all are going to continue to get any of my money when your app NEVER works. It’s ridiculous and y’all could definitely do better. There shouldn’t be any reason why I’m concerned for my safety because the camera system doesn’t wanna work anymore. This past week the app won’t even open and I’ve redownloaded it more then once.

The worst

This app is the worst. I gave it 2 stars for when it was working it was decent. But now my cameras are saying device off line but when I look at the camera it is lit up red and flashing. I tried to troubleshoot myself but it didn’t work. I tried to reach out to support and all it gives me is a message saying live supposed times. I can’t type in the chat to ask any type of question and there isn’t a phone number to call. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I’m glad I didn’t buy this because it was a gift.

Why do u think it’s a good app

So first of all I don’t have this app because my parents and sibling have it but only allows 3 but it’s a very good app because they let us know when someone is there outside our house and every time when something’s there it shows motion and 2 weeks ago we heard shootings and the app let us know and we heard that recently our neighborhood been getting robbed for cars because my right neighbors got there car stole and the front too and others mores and when it let us know we locked all the windows and doors thankfully we are safe thanks to this app letting us know because someone was close to our door and saw a shadow so we we locked everything and thankfully my family is fine and I don’t think this is a bad app but if I start seeing changes I will have to report thanks and bye!

Great then not so great

I loved this camera when we first installed it but within the last couple months it goes offline for some odd reason & I we can’t get it to connect now. It’s up to date on the latest version & our internet has a strong single. Usually we just take it down & let the battery die then put it back on but now that’s not even working. If this bug was fixed I would recommend this 10/10.

App for securty camaras

Theres a issues with this app that wont connect to my security camaras and my internet service says camaras are connected to my wifi but theres issues with the app so i contact the company if this app n then they tell me to contact the company of the camaras so what does the camara company have to do with the issues with this app so im waiting on both to reapond back to me cause this is rediculous i had these camaras a yr ago n just replaced them put then up yesterday for them not to connect to app for me to watch who comes on to the property n for my kids as well

Used to be great

I used to have 0 issues with the cameras and app until now. When my power goes off and my internet modem restarts the cameras sometimes won’t connect. I have to manually disconnect them. Recently nothing works. The cameras are connected to the internet but take for ever to load. Sometimes they won’t even load. Changing them out and throwing them to the dump soon.

Thieves

Thieves, I bought my cameras, had no complaints until new owners try time and again to convert me into an income stream by holding my cameras hostage unless I sign up for something I don’t want. Don’t go down this dark road

When your app has a 2 star rating…

I never had many issues until a couple weeks ago. When I turn one camera to landscape, the picture switches to a split screen with two other cameras in my home. Of course I can just scroll through that group until I get to the camera I wanted, but I’ve lost audio. Therefore, I can no longer get audio on a landscape view. Also, when I’m watching an event, say at 10:45:28, when I click on that event, it jumps to 10:45:43. This is now every notification. It passes the event by 15 seconds and I have to try to manually find it. There is no slow scrubbing, so it’s a real pain doing this. I have 6 Zmodo cameras, so I’m pretty much screwed. I don’t want to contact customer service (I already have, and did everything they said to do to no avail) I just want them to work out the bugs, so I can give them 5 stars again.

Never works!

One second they work, then they don’t. This is even with Wi-Fi extending outside. Updates don’t do anything.

Worst app and “security” camera ever

This app sends nonstop notifications to my phone every time someone scratches their nose, BUT when I tap the notification to see it, it just gives the spinning icon like it’s loading, but it NEVER OPENS. So then I go to the app itself to tap on that video specifically, and it STILL doesn’t open it. I’m on strong wifi and it still doesn’t work. The other day, AT 3:19 IN THE MORNING, an eighteen-wheeler drove onto our property, only 50 feet in front of one of the cameras, at 10 mph, and the camera DID NOT SEND A NOTIFICATION! I only knew about it because I watched the fast replay later. Then when I scrolled to that time stamp, I saw the truck approaching, but MeShare decided to cut out part of the video, so the truck just disappeared, and the time stamp jumped a few seconds forward. Then a few seconds later, the truck came back by the camera, AGAIN, DID NOT TRIGGER A NOTIFICATION, and again, MeShare thought the event so unimportant that it AGAIN clipped forward and missed part of the truck driving by, so it looked like it disappeared into thin air another time. I have the full subscription so there should be no issue like this to access the full video footage. Bottom line is that if you want security, you’ll need to invest in cameras that actually work. If you want to be notified of every spider web that moves, but NOT be notified of something as big as an eighteen-wheeler on your property, this is the camera to waste your money on.

Says my app doesn’t support my device

I have been using the APP and camera for almost a year and I needed to change my internet password and now I cannot connect the cameras. It keeps saying the app doesn’t support my cameras and I keep trying to reach support. I dont know what else to do. I was very happy with the product until now.

They all work perfectly 4 plus years on. I had the playback feature and was a great help. Minus stars because a ridiculous price for that!

Cloud service does not work

I had a subscriotion for two years. Until about five minths ago Flashback worked. Could make short videos of events. But now Flashback does not work. And sometimes can make videos then no. So did not review subscription. Whatever I want to see about events is covered with notices my subscription has expired. Completly worthless now. Except to view live.

Not secure!

These cameras are not secure they are easy to hack into thank god my internet blocks it but i constantly get notifications from my internet that someone from a different country is trying to access my cameras but they block it i don’t recommend these cameras!

Slow down flash back

I’m typing this review to see if y’all can plz make the flashback slower so that I can actually see on what has passed my house walked by my house or happened by my house on both of my cameras it would help me out a lot cause when i do the flashback I don’t anything due to it you way to fast. This doesn’t help anyone to see anything & the cameras have been buffering here a lot lately that’s not good either. We been having these 2 cameras for about maybe 3 years or 5 I really don’t want to go through the headache setting up any other security cameras from a different company because it was really tough to set these up on our phone

If you are reading this, return the cameras and get different ones.

why did you put a admin password on my….

why did you put a admin password on my system without my permission?!!!! these guys use to be a decent company, i started using their systems back around when they started up. fast customer service reliable systems. But now…. they have turned on all of their customers, for instance… i always bought systems with working hard drives already inside. never needed a storage system i’d have to pay for. and i’ve refused to be pressured into buying it for this whole time. during this time of them pushing their cloud on us all, they disabled my hard drive and what i read of many many other customers they did the same thing to all of them too. Then they released our hard drives back to us. now, they have messed up the worst… They have blocked me out of my system all together! They have put an admin password on my system and i’m not able to do anything at all but look at the live feed. this problem has cost me money cause of things getting stolen and i cant go into my cameras at all to look at the footage ON MY HARD DRIVE at all cause i don’t have the password they put into my system….. If you don’t know by now…. don’t get this company’s camera system. And before you buy any system at all no matter what the name is on the cameras, ask who the company or brother/sister companies are. cause this one is connected to several different names now… And again….. UNDO THE ADMIN PASSWORD TOU PUT ON MY SYSTEM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!!! January 2 2022.

Software needs work

The ring phone does not notify my phone of anyone by my door. It was working well until the last update of software. All notifications are now loss. I would recommend not purchasing items from Zmodo to use with an iPhone. They need to update their software to the latest OS system. Wake up Zmodo, I always liked your products, but now they don’t work

This thing was literally plug-and-play. Very simple to install and we have real time coverage at our home at the touch of a button. Would highly recommend.

Latest update messed it up

Just installed the latest update and now the program crashes when I try to view a camera in HD.

Worse app ever

Unless you buy cloud service the app won’t work right for you. They purposely make the app inop at times so you can’t use it. Very frustrating you’ve been worn don’t use this app

Garbage

A friend of mine gave me 2 of his old cameras so i set them up. Those actually worked pretty well and my wife still uses one. I bought a 3rd one much more new than other 2. I moved the new one from back patio to garage (used it for alerts in backyard... pool and small kids) after summer when i moved it wouldn't show on app. I deleted/reinstalled, nothing. Quit working on echo show AND the Alexa app. So i removed cam thinking if i reinstall and reconnected it that may fix issue. Now i cant even add it because i don't have qr code, don't have package it came in so i guess i just have a useless camera sitting around. So make sure you keep your packages for forever.

Beware of meshare

A few years ago I bought a zmodo camera. It was recommended I use Meshare for the cloud service. Later my needs changed so I got rid of the camera. I had no devices attached to the meshare account and when you log in to the app there were no clear or obvious ways to cancel the service as everything was blank. Well sure enough meshare took a payment from my account without any previous notice. When I disputed the charge they were more than happy to cancel the service but refused to refund the payment they unethically deducted which I am guessing prepaid for a year of service. I WOULD FIND OTHER CLOUD SERVICES OR BUY CAMERAS THAT DONT USE MESHARE! They totally the human element of business!!

Please don’t lose your money

This camera is the most stupid things like I boring my life is completely difficult to install and then you need to pay member every single month do you no see what happen with your camera inside your home please don’t buy anything anything about this company I really disappointment

Very fiddly to install but okay otherwise

Lots of people seem to have issues installing the cameras and getting the meShare app to recognize them. I found a stupid workaround, but it does work. Download the Zmodo app here on the App Store. Login with your meShare account info. Add the camera on the Zmodo app using “Zlink.” Don’t try any of the other options, they basically never work. Once you get the to the final camera setup page in the Zmodo app with the continuous loading wheel, boot up meShare and see if the cameras show up. It’s worked 100% for me over ten reboots, and multiple router changes and app updates. Once you’re done you can delete the Zmodo app entirely. Three stars because no camera should be this obnoxious to install, but do they have decent functionality once you jump through all the hoops.

We have three cameras. They work pretty good. My only complaint is that customer service could not help me get a subscription on my other two. One already has it. It says discount for more then one but no discount shows up. I’m not to happy with customer service. I’d like to add 2 more with discount if anyone can help me. Thank you.
